Taylor (they/them) is a capacity building specialist, healing arts practitioner, and filmmaker from Los Angeles and rooted in Chicago.
A graduate of UCLA and Columbia College Chicago, Taylor has worked in programming, development, and communications for organizations centering gender justice, ending the sexual abuse to prison pipeline among girls and women of color, and decarceration for twelve years. As a capacity building specialist and organizational consultant, Taylor supports organizations in the northeast, deep south, and midwest to create sustainable and healing-centered infrastructures. They have also facilitated with organizations in London (UK), Chiapas (Mexico), and across California.
Taylor’s work has been featured in HuffPost, ForHarriet, and Rootwork Journal, and largely centers femmes and families of color, and the ways in which marginalized communities strive for bodily autonomy and intergenerational healing through nature, ritual, and ancestral connection.
Taylor studied astrology for 15 years and yoga for over 12 years. They earned their 200-hour yoga teaching certification in 2019, and are a Usui Reiki level II practitioner.
